With the Winterfest Dance approaching, Green Lake School might expect a few snow showers.

And rain showers, too, as the case was this week.

But the school also saw a few other showers.

First, tears. Then, love.

And finally, tears again — but this time with joy and determination mixed in.

At the center of the cloud of care, concern and love has been Lisa Morris.

Morris was diagnosed with cancer last May, just before the end of the previous school year, and started chemo in August, just before this year started.

In response, the school, as it will, rallied around her.
