A Princeton man was flown via helicopter to a medical center following a two-car crash last week Tuesday morning.

At around 10:37 a.m. the Green Lake County Sheriff’s E911 Communications Center was notified of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 23 near County Road T involving two Princeton drivers, Timothy J. Kovalaske and Nicholas C. Cattanach, who had a passenger as well.

Green Lake EMS, law enforcement and the Green Lake-Brooklyn Fire Department arrived at the scene several minutes later.

When they arrived, the emergency personnel saw a damaged Ford pick-up truck and Chevrolet Cavalier.

According to the press release from the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, “the occupants of a Ford pick-up truck involved in the crash were uninjured. The sole occupant of a Chevrolet Cavalier was injured and needed extraction from the vehicle.”

Firefighters extracted Kovalaske from the vehicle while Theda Star was requested to respond to the scene and fly him out to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah. Chief Deputy Matt Vande Kolk explained he was not aware of the patient’s current condition.
