Three individuals from the area were rushed to the hospital following a rollover crash last week Friday night in the town of Ripon.

The three occupants of a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am were Majesta Lauzon, 33, of Ripon; Cody Wierl, 30, of Ripon; and Kyle Chipman, 28, of Neshkoro, formerly of Ripon.

Town of Ripon Police Capt. Howard Stibb explained law enforcement were notified of the accident when a resident along County Road E, south of Cork Street, reported hearing sounds of a crash at around 11:40 p.m.

One of the neighbors went out and located the upturned vehicle.

Though the accident is still under investigation, Stibb noted it is believed “the driver [Lauzon] lost control and the car went across the road [and] probably flipped over twice.”

The Pontiac Grand Am came to a rest on its top ...

Stibb explained “alcohol played a factor in [the accident];” however he noted it is “yet to be determined” whether any citations will be issued following the crash.
