     A Brandon woman died in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in the town of Rosendale.

     Rose M. Larson, 25, was going southbound on Highway 26 near Griffith Road shortly after noon when she lost control of her vehicle on the ice- and snow-covered roadway.

     Her car spun and entered the highway’s northbound lane, where it struck a vehicle driven by Jane Piddington, 61, of Winneconne.
Larson was wearing a seatbelt but died from injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

     Piddington, who also was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to  Mercy Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  

     A dog riding in Larson’s vehicle also died in the crash.  

     The Wisconsin State Patrol, Rosendale Fire Department and First Responders, Ripon Ambulance and the Fond du Lac County Highway Department assisted the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.  

     The crash remains under investigation.
