A run-of-the mill trespassing call enabled Ripon Police to discover a meth lab in a senior living apartment building.

Now, a 23-year-old Ripon man is expected to face multiple charges, both related and unrelated to the find.

“[Monday] afternoon we found a meth lab,” Ripon Police Chief Bill Wallner said. “At about 1:45 officers were dispatched to a trespassing complaint [at] 1479 Pleasant St.”

At that location, otherwise known as Kenwood Senior Living apartments, officers made contact with the 23-year-old.

He is not being named at this time because he has not yet been charged, though that could occur as soon as today (Wednesday).

“When officers got there, they ended up arresting [him] for multiple charges,” Wallner said, noting that officers “found components from meth production.”
