With the last of three phases now complete, the management of Cobblestone Estates at 560 to 588 Fenton St. “officially” opened Ripon’s newest (and largest) apartment complex.

The condominium-style one-and two-bedroom apartments were on display as Premier Real Estate Management LLC held a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Constructed in stages over the last few years, many of the units at Cobblestone already are rented. But that didn’t take away from the festivities Tuesday as hot coffee (on a blustery, cool morning) and sweet bars were available for guests and a few Cobblestone residents who visited.

“We find that urban markets tend to be oversaturated and overpriced, whereas smaller communities like this one have a real need for quality housing,” said Anne Christensen, assistant vice president of Premier Real Estate Management during the ceremony. “This was certainly the driver when we came up with the idea for Cobblestone Estates, which was first proposed in 2012.

“We are thrilled to be here with you today ... and we are proud to be a part of the reality in Ripon’s economic development and contributing to the quality of life in your city.”

Christensen noted that renters’ tastes have changed, lending to the success of the development.
