Family Acupuncture has served the Ripon area for years — first at a small building between Ripon’s west-side car dealerships, and more recently from a lower-level suite off Watson Street.

   But Family Acupuncture is growing — both in terms of services and footprint.

   With the addition of two new pieces of equipment, the business needed more space. So it has moved to 319 Watson St., where it now has ample room for patients to try these new therapies.

   “Acupuncture is the cornerstone of [my business] but I have many other modalities,” said John Sprader, owner of Family Acupuncture.

   He’s excited to share the two newest modalities with patients.

   “One of those is called ‘PEMF,’ which stands for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy,” Sprader said.

   He describes it as a healing therapy that’s been used in Europe for decades but only recently come to the United States.
