The Ripon High School boys’ basketball team held an Emergency Services Recognition Night last week Friday during its game against Berlin.

In addition to honoring those who protect and serve the communities of Ripon and Berlin, the night featured halftime entertainment of students attempting to make a basket while dressed up like a firefighter.

Above, Addy Baird, middle, and Brena Carlson race to mid-court to pick up their helmets as Morgan Schultz watches.

Left, Nick Bruesewitz, left, tries to keep his helmet on as Hunter Cook takes a shot.

The two showed it wasn’t easy playing basketball in full firefighter attire, with one of them falling down.
