Last year, five challengers put their names on the ballot to compete with three incumbents for seats on the Ripon Area School Board.

   Three of those challengers now sit on the board.

   This spring, one of the challengers who wasn’t voted in but appointed by the board — Nicole Kutz Menard — says she will seek election to her first full term Tuesday, April 3.

   “I would like the opportunity to serve the Ripon community as an advocate for students and families,” she said.

   Meanwhile, the terms of fellow board members Andy Lyke and John Sperger also are expiring. Both indicated they will seek re-election.
