     EVER IMAGINE BEING an extra in a movie?

     Now’s your chance. A Ripon native is offering that experience to anyone who is interested.

     Utilizing the Ripon area as a backdrop, Sam Kasper is creating a full-length feature film called “Scotch Tension,” and could use a little help on one scene in particular.

     And if you have half as much fun as Sam is having creating the film, you’re sure to have a blast.

    “I love it,” he said of making the movie. “... There’s something about starting a year ago with a vague idea, writing it, letting it roll. There’s something beautiful about believing something into existence.

     “It was thoughts in a head, then words on a page — and now people on screen.” ...

     THIS ISN’T SAM’S FIRST foray into film-making; it’s just his biggest dip into the pond. ...

     In fact, this is exactly what the 2012 Ripon High School graduate went to school for years ago.

     “I went to school for it at UW-M[ilwaukee],” he said. “I grew up in Ripon ... making movies with friends. Incrementally, I worked my way up to bigger projects.” ...

     SO, HOW DO YOU GET IN on the fun?

     “We’re looking for people to come out” on Sunday, Oct. 1 for “a small-town dance scene,” Sam said ...
