TO THE EDITOR:

On behalf of the Brandon-Fairwater-Ripon Area 2017 Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, I would like to thank everyone who supported the Salvation Army in the 2017 Red Kettle Campaign. ...

And certainly ‘Hearts’ to everyone who contributed monetarily to the 2017 Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.

To help people in need requires money, and approximately 75 percent of the funding available to the Salvation Army in the Brandon-Fairwater-Ripon-Rosendale area comes from the monies raised locally during the Red Kettle Campaign.

Thanks to the efforts of everybody involved, the total money raised in 2017 was approximately the same as the amount raised in 2016.  ...

People have been very generous with their giving, so the goal for 2018 is to find ways to increase the opportunities for people to donate.
