TO THE EDITOR:

... Any public school administrator from Ripon that suggests that Ripon parents send their treasured sons and daughters to another school district needs to be closely monitored and then shown how to use the “exit” door.

This is my opinion after reading an article in the Feb. 15, 2018 edition of the Ripon Commonwealth Press (Re: “Major overhaul being considered for youngest grades”) where our school superintendent and Barlow Park Principal suggest that parents not interested in either of the future charter schools (K-2) could send their children to the Green Lake School District.

We, the taxpayers of the Ripon School District, “rose to the challenges” of paying tens of millions of dollars to build four new schools, plus a new superintendent building.

These caused monetary and emotional challenges over the years that school administrators said were needed.

Now the buildings are built, but the administration says you need to make arrangements to have your child take their schooling in another district.

What a “slap in the face” for our hard working tax payers of Ripon.

Wouldn’t we lose thousands of government money for each student going to another school district? ...
