Adding on to Adeva in Ripon

Adeva employees include, front row, from left, Ann Aldrich, Angela Watts, Cassie Rosenmeier; back row, Genevieve Meilahn, Tracy Matthias and Marsha Pomplun.

When Cassie Rosenmeier and Ann Aldrich started Adeva Salon in downtown Ripon about three years ago, they aimed to create the kind of salon that allows clients to pamper themselves, but at prices so affordable that it could be done on a regular basis.

But, utilizing good business sense, the co-owners chose to start small — the salon only — and maybe, someday, build from there.

“Someday” arrived Saturday.

Last weekend, the concept salon expanded its services to include massages, manicures, pedicures and facials.

This is in addition to the cuts, coloring, waxing, retail sales and make-up Adeva already offered at 219 Watson St.

For Adeva, though, this hasn’t simply been about a change in services.

To make room for massages, manicures and more, Adeva needed to expand. It didn’t build up — it built down. The basement was completely renovated to add 850 square feet to the facility.
