Come tour South Woods

Ripon College professor George "Skip" Wittler, top left, leads a group through South Woods during a previous year's spring wildflower walk.

The South Woods Park Association (SWPA) will hold its annual spring wildflower walk Saturday, May 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Walkers should meet in Ripon at the Union Street entrance to South Woods for a free guided tour.

The hike will be lead by a biologist who will offer interpretative analysis and answer questions.

Plenty of parking is available in our expanded lot. Appropriate footwear should be worn, as the trails can be muddy at times.

Children are welcome.

For those interested, SWPA membership meeting will be held in the Nash Room of the Ripon Public Library at 9:30 a.m.

Membership in the South Woods Park Association is open to all and is a great way to get involved in local conservation with a minimal time commitment.

Membership meetings are two times a year.
