Ripon College’s Applied Communication class will present the fourth annual Mr. Ripon Contest, sponsored in part by Ripon Medical Center Thursday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of Harwood Memorial Union.

Tickets are $3 at the door and the public is welcome. All proceeds benefit the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA).

This is a fun, family-friendly event, but its objective is to positively impact the lives of people affected by Huntington’s Disease. This year’s event will feature community members including Ric Damm and Paul Wise who, along with Ripon College students, will raise money for HDSA and vie for the coveted Mr. Ripon crown.

There are several different categories including talent, formalwear, swimwear and question and answer. The event’s primary goal is to raise awareness about Huntington’s Disease in Ripon and the surrounding community. To date, past contests have raised more than $15,000 for HDSA.
