Open house celebrates new storytime space

An open house for the new Storytime room will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17.

Over the years, storytime has taken place in many different locations within the Ripon Public Library.

In 2010, the Library board of directors made the creation of a dedicated storytime space top priority.

Ripon Area Builders transformed a storage area in the lower level of the library into a bright and lovely space designed specifically to meet the needs of storytime and its attendees.

Artist Robin Wallenfang of Green Lake has embellished the space with original murals on the walls.

All expenses have been paid with funding from the library’s endowment. On Sept. 1, the premier storytime sessions were conducted to the joy and appreciation of children and their caregivers.

An open house to show off the new storytime room will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then again from 4 to 6 p.m. All ages are invited to attend this free event. Light refreshments will be served.
