RCP awards make it third best weekly newspaper in WI

The Ripon Commonwealth Press earned 19 awards Friday at the state newspaper association annual conference in Appleton.

The newspaper received eight first-place plaques, seven seconds and four thirds in Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper & Advertising Contest for 2010.

The only weekly newspapers in the state that earned more awards than Ripon’s were the Jackson County Chronicle and the Sauk Prairie Eagle.

Awards earned by the Commonwealth for work done last year included:
