For the past several years, sisters Misi and Miki Clark bar-tended together at 192 E. Main St. in Brandon.

It was a vocation each loved dearly — and lost last summer when the former owner closed the bar.

Misi admits feeling lost after the job evaporated.

“It just didn’t feel right,” she said.

But the job wasn’t gone long.

With the help of two angel investors (who have asked to remain anonymous), the sister duo have purchased and opened the bar once more.

Though The Corner Bar officially opened Feb. 1, it finally celebrated its grand opening last week Saturday, complete with plenty of music, games and revelry.

“There was so much love and so much support all around us for our grand opening,” Miki said. “It went off basically without a hitch ... It was perfect. The food was good, the music was good, the friends were good.”

For the sisters, though, it was just another night at their favorite place on earth.

“Your job is to make people happy; how awesome is that?” Misi asked rhetorically. “It just doesn’t get any better than that.”
