A downtown condominium project is moving forward, with Green Lake city leaders granting a developer’s agreement.

When finished, the project is projected to raise the real estate value by $2.2 million.

The developer — Village Condominium Developers LLC — includes Jack and Thomas Giombetti, and Robert Dudzinski.

Common Council members voted 4-0 (with Alds. Tom Jones and Mary Rowley absent) to OK the agreement following a closed-session discussion last week Thursday.

The plans include use of the Grocery Bag lot, which has been empty since the building was torn down in 2007.

Development plans “consist of a retail/commercial space on the ground level of the building, with four residential homes on the second level and two residential homes on the third level,” the agreement states. “Each unit will have full wrap-around balconies. Each unit will have a private attached garage.” Read the full story in the Nov. 26, 2009, issue of the Ripon Commonwealth Press.
