Column: Ghost leads photographer on a haunted hike of Ripon College campus

It was Halloween last weekend, and wouldn’t you know, spooks were spotted around town.

They may have been here for some time now, just waiting for the right moment to appear.

How do I know? Well, one enterprising photographer caught a few of the etherial beings on film.

And I’ve got his pictures to prove it.

Take a peek, and judge for yourself.

I FOUND OUT ABOUT the specter earlier this fall, actually.

I was walking downtown, when I ran into Steve Hollenback outside his shop, Memory Photography.

“Wanna see a ghost?” he said with a sly grin.

“A ghost?”

“Yep. It was up by the college.”

I’m not generally superstitious, but when he said he had photos, I couldn’t help but check it out.

Sure enough, some ethereal images filled his computer screen.

Now I had to find out the backstory. ...
