Here's way No. 5,456 that life in Ripon is vastly different this year, due to the pandemic.

The annual summer reading program at Ripon Public Library won’t occur this year in the same way it usually does.

No magicians, no major art projects, no group activities in a confined space, as is normally the case.

Yet while the program may be down, it’s not out.

A program will be held this summer ­— just not in the form Riponites are used to. This year, the focus will be on virtual activities, online learning and, on occasion when it can be done safely, in-person fun.
