To the Editor:

Thank you for your coverage of the views held by those candidates running for School Board.

... As a member of our School Board, will they be willing to actively defend the concept of public education?

We now have a Secretary of Education that actively promotes privatizing education. Will they fight this trend? How will they respond when a for-profit charter school moves in to Ripon and wants to take our tax payer money out of the public school budget to pay tuition to a privately owned business?

Perhaps they could respond online for us all to read. ...
