TO THE EDITOR:

To all Green Lake School District taxpayers: Today I received the “Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance 2010 School Facts” Annual Report. ...

Significant new information is cited and footnoted from the report as follows:

Green Lake School District for 2010-2011 “Total School Expenses rose to $20,375 per student (page 57). This is without the extra money asked for by the last three defeated referendums this past year....

Green Lake School District is now cited as the fourth most spending per student district in Wisconsin in comparative costs in the opening section of the report (page IV)!

One of the comparisons: Ripon’s “Total School Expense” per student was $11,880 (page 113). An analysis of ACT 10 year average test scores puts Ripon in the top 8 percent of public high schools in Wisconsin!

Green Lake taxpayers, once and for all, the time has come to hold your School Board and administration responsible and accountable...
