TO THE EDITOR:
We’re slowly but surely building up the ranks and getting closer to bringing a Jaycees chapter back to Ripon.
We’re halfway towards having the membership we need to officially get our chapter started; and hopefully we can close the gap on the other half, and then some, in the very near future. ... I really hope this will be the start of something on going and before too long, the Jaycees will be back in Ripon; there’s a lot that can be done with this wonderful organization.
One of our hopes is that with this new chapter, we can work towards bringing back Riponfest and perhaps even improve upon it.
Several of us involved in this initiative believe Riponfest to be a mainstay of the community and is sorely missed; those already in the Jaycees, see the tremendous opportunity of being involved in it’s return.
There are also a great many things the Jaycees do for their respective communities ...
If you’re ages 18 to 40 and are interested in joining the Jaycees or would just like some more information about them, please feel free to contact me at 748-2236 or Dina Curi at 920-266-7875.
