When I recently found myself struggling in my college Economics class, I e-mailed my high school teacher. I received a response almost instantly and at 9 P.M. on a week night I was on the phone with my high school teacher being walked through my homework problem!

I know that I could have gone to my professor but my first reaction was to contact the person who had been there for me the last four years.

Teachers influence their students in so many ways: through the classroom, extra-curricular activities and just by being an example to follow. They inspire students in choosing future fields of study, professions, and being good citizens. How do you put a dollar amount on that? ...

As budgets are decreased and cuts are made I ask the School District of Ripon to be wise with how they spend their money ...
