To the Editor:
(Re: “Same-sex marriage is issue of ‘personal concience,’ say minister group members,” May 21, 2015) Rev. Karen Gygax-Rodriguez, president of RAMA/members of Federated Church of Green Lake considers same-sex marriage to be one of ‘personal-conscience’ as written in an article.
The RAMA (Ripon Area Ministerial Association) members don’t want a relationship with Jesus Christ on his terms, but on their terms.
Therefore, they create and serve a false Christ which leads to bondage, a lack of power and a delusional mindset that believes he/she will inherit eternal life when in fact will be damned to hell if there’s no repentance.
The Bible warned us about the institutional church: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron …” (1 Tim 4:1-2)
... Government is attacking dozens of Christian business — people, bakers, photographers, caterers and others — who as a matter of sincere religious conviction, decline to participate in same-sex wedding celebrations and ceremonies.
This, in a country founded on Christian principles, established to guard the free exercise of religion and speech under First Amendment protections.
Church shouldn’t be a place to go to “feel good” without having to be challenged to change your life toward a deeper conversion, not just glad-handing about nothing much. The church’s mission has to be the search for holiness.
