TO THE EDITOR:

I am writing in response to your editorial column that was in last week’s paper (“Sssshh! Don’t publish students’ names,” Oct. 18). I don’t know what the volunteer you were e-mailing was talking about, but there is NO such rule by an exchange student agency OR by the State Department.

I am an Ayusa community rep and did some fact checking on this with my area and district reps and they assured me that such a rule (or law) does NOT exist. ...
