To the Editor:

... a group of individuals held a gathering on the lawn of Town Square on Saturday, June 13 to voice their opinions about marriage

... without the knowledge or permission of Town Square.

... we were told that they thought that the Town Square lawn was county property. We explained that, along with the buildings, the property — including the lawn — belongs to the non-profit group that runs Town Square.

They have agreed not to assemble on the Town Square lawn in the future.

... Town Square welcomes all residents and visitors to our area. It is a place where we celebrate our differences and work together for a better future for everyone.
