To the Editor:

This particular primary election is critical because the ballot is nonpartisan as it doesn’t separate the conservatives from the liberals. The two top vote-getters will move to the final spring election on April 4.

One conservative judge, two liberal judges and a conservative former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice, Daniel Kelly, are running for an open seat on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.

It’s important you vote for conservative Justice Daniel Kelly to protect the unborn, to protect the 2nd Amendment, election security, right-to-work, to keep criminals in prison and more.

Justice Dan Kelly believes in the Constitution, as it is written. He will preserve constitutional rights, uphold the rule of law, and prevent judicial activism. His liberal opponents are judicial activists who seek to impose their own political agenda on our state. Justice Dan Kelly will not promote partisan policies.

The role of justices is to interpret the Constitution and not to legislate from the bench. Liberal leftists have extreme agendas, they see themselves as legislators in judicial robes. Liberals want to dictate policy from the bench. We cannot let that happen.

Conservatives must come together to ensure that a liberal justice is not elected.

Vote for Justice Daniel Kelly on February 21.

Sally, all this is beyond your understanding and control. Find what brings joy to your life and focus on what's essential to your life's purpose. Let others do the same.

David Perkins

In a gerrymandered state with an undereducated, untravelled rural populace that is steeped in rightwing talk radio telling them the cities and the liberals are coming for their gods, guns, and way of life, Sallie reigns. The youth are moving away, not because they dislike the heritage, but the vitriol of exclusivity. They move, not only because they seek an education, and when they have one, realize that nonsense like you spew is outdated and ignorant, but because there are few others that allow them to be as they are, how their minds and their bodies tell them who they are…not someone’s antiquated view. There are “all kinds of kinds” in the world and they seek the wonderful knowledge out there…hopefully they will return and build communities here where people of color, LGBTQ families, differing ethnicities, and cultures can live harmoniously together. That is the liberal way. If you call that radical, it is only through being ignorant and old-fashioned. I know that I have asked you this question before and you did not answer it: What color was Jesus' skin? My historical deductive reasoning tells me that you…white as white can be, like me…would surely be seen as the minority in his immediate world. If I get the stories right, he would embrace you…would you, him?

Sallie Helmer

You assume conservatives are racists. You are uneducated, you don’t even understand that Biden is a racist. That Democrats haven’t done anything for other races other than keeping them poor so they keep voting for them. Trump did more for all Americans.

Jerald Davidson

Poor Sally, with her myopic view, she wants to blame one particular segment (that must be the Democrats) for America's ills. Little does she know, it is the system, not the parties, that are to blame. The two political parties are, like Sallie,

mere accessories, if not accomplices, to the crime.

David Perkins

I never mentioned the word "race"...interesting that you did, Sallie. And, you still did not answer my question.

Sallie Helmer

David,

"What color was Jesus' skin?" David Perkins

My answer is "it doesn't matter". If you can find that in the Holy Bible please post it and reference where it is.

Jerald Davidson

Well said, David

Joellyn Jaeger

As it was written. That about says it all Sallie. Yes, let's regress several centuries. What utter nonsense.

Sallie Helmer

May I remind you the U.S. Constitution and our State Constitution are the law of the land. Yes, as written. There are laws as to how you can add Amendments to the Constitution. That is the only way it can be changed.

Al Fresco

Constitutions are not the law of the land. They are what laws are based on.

Dale Failor

I said it once and I will say it again, Silence Is Golden. My comments are short unlike yours.

Jerald Davidson

Sallie: Cui bono? Who wrote the Constitution? Who benefited from it (e.g., who was permitted to vote?),

Arthur Baseler

Here's an enlightening article about Kelly and Dorow. Sallie would be happy with a theocracy and these two fit right in. https://urbanmilwaukee.com/2023/01/24/murphys-law-the-radical-views-of-kelly-and-dorow/?fbclid=IwAR1P-jGUtGQHzgmCtcSbj7fHfed0bHbMPfKLgbTR4-CoHNRl-YFiDvnjcYw

Sallie Helmer

“The background and training of Dorow and particularly Kelly suggest they are considerably more radical in their views.“ Author Bruce Murphy—

The whole article is biased against God and those who believe in the 10 Commandments as written in the Bible. Like “Thou shalt not kill” as in abortion— not “like murder” abortion is murder.

Marriage is between a one man and one woman. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Marriage is ordained to have children and propagate the earth.

Abortion up until and immediately following birth and men marrying men; women marrying women is radical extremism. Save America vote for Conservative Justice Dan Kelly, who has a track record of following Constitutional law in his decisions.

Michael Shohoney

Sallie,

There you go again forcing your religious beliefs on everyone . How un-American of you!

Arthur Baseler

As I said, you'd be happy with a theocracy as long as it was Christian. Wait for the millennium Sallie. BTW, you NEVER did answer my question whether you support comprehensive sex education and easy access to contraception to prevent pregnancy. Of course Glen Grothman hurried off when I asked him the same question so you have that in common. Are you lobbying your Republican legislators to expand Medicaid and childcare in the state since you clearly want women to give birth it means you need to support them.

Sallie Helmer

Arthur,

You don’t even know the definition of a Theocracy.

What is your definition of “comprehensive sex education?” Why teach 6 year olds about how to perform gay sex?

Al Fresco

Do you think you have a good marriage? Marriage is more than a piece of paper. I would bet many same sex couples have better marriages than yours.

Sallie Helmer

My marriage has God’s blessing. Same sex marriages are legal in the U.S. but not in God’s eyes. God says homosexuality is a sin.

Al Fresco

You are assuming much. Be careful.

Dan Gatzke

"Justice Dan Kelly will not promote partisan policies" If that was true why is he running as a "conservative" justice instead of an independent justice? Sounds like he has a political agenda in mind already.

Sallie Helmer

Justice Daniel Kelly is not running as a Conservative. All 4 Judges are running as non-partisan. By their performance as judges in the past we label them Conservative and Liberal.

Michael Shohoney

Not running as a conservative!? Have you seen his campaign ad? Clearly, highlighted in red, CONSERVATIVE justice. Stop trying to gaslight us, Sallie. Your lies are tiring!

Sallie Helmer

Michael,

On the ballot, there is no indication if the judges are conservative or leftist pro-abortion liberals. Yes, Justice Daniel Kelly's ad says he is a proud conservative. I was referring to how the ballot reads-- Nonpartisan Office--- Justice of the Supreme Court----Vote for 1. After that, the four justices' names are listed.

Justice Daniel Kelly is a proud Conservative, but it is not designated on the ballot.

Interesting the two Liberal judges don't say they are proud pro-abortion leftists. They try to hide who they really are.

Michael Shohoney

Sallie,

So you finally admit that you're wrong. He is running as a CONSERVATIVE. You are a gaslighter.

Michael Shohoney

Sallie,

NO ONE that I know is "pro abortion." That's a right wingnut term. We are pro choice. We choose to not inject ourselves into the decision made by a woman and her medical professionals regarding her health.

Michael Shohoney

He's "former" for a good reason.

Arthur Baseler

Beatable once and beatable again! Vote for Judge Janet Protasiewicz!

Sallie Helmer

You have pro-life and then you have pro-choice. Which group is for abortion? Abortion is not healthcare.

Michael Shohoney

Abortion is health care. If either the embryo's or the mother's lives are at grave risk, what is the procedure to treat the condition?

Sallie Helmer

Abortion is not healthcare.

"From the time the original Hippocratic Oath was introduced, there has been a clear separation of medical care from the intentional killing of human beings. The science is clear – at the moment of fertilization, a new distinct, living and whole human being comes into existence. Abortion, which is an action whose sole intent is to end this life, clearly violates the basic tenets of medical ethics.

Abortion treats no disease process and carries significant potential harm for women."

https://aaplog.org/the-alliance-for-hippocratic-medicine-statement-abortion-is-not-healthcare/

The 1859 Wisconsin Abortion Bill's only exception is "to save the life of the mother" – there is no exception for rape or incest or to preserve a patient's health.

Michael Shohoney

Oh, Sallie...you keep cuttin' and pastin' from the most biased sources. It's really quite entertaining. Not informative in the least but entertaining.

Sallie Helmer

“ The science is clear – at the moment of fertilization, a new distinct, living and whole human being comes into existence.“

Michael,

You do believe in science, correct?

Bill Bumby

Abortion is also none of your business

Michael Shohoney

“ The science is clear – at the moment of fertilization, a new distinct, living and whole human being comes into existence.“

Michael,

You do believe in science, correct?"

Sallie,

Yes, I believe in science. Not junk science which this is. Care to share your source? No, you never do. Well, I checked it and, surprise, surprise, it's from a wingnut hack source. Expand your horizons!!!
