TO THE EDITOR:
I wish to thank everyone in District No. 3 who voted for me on April 6.
...Even those of you who finally decided you were going to vote for Mr. Hansen in the end still gave me the opportunity to present myself and you heard me out just the same, so thank you for that.
But the very best part of this whole experience? My last name was spelled right on the ballot.
Seriously though, the words of encouragement and support during the campaign — and after the results were announced — from family members back in Marquette County and friends/neighbors in the community meant a lot to me and I’m not disheartened.
In fact, I’m satisfied with the active campaign I ran and felt I had a good first showing (41 percent of the vote) against a well-known name in the community.
