To the editor:
That’s what’s printed on a big flag flying at the south end of Ripon.
Regardless of who you voted for in the presidential election, this statement is profane, and is defiantly on display in a high-traffic location at the corner of Thomas and Griswold Streets, across the street from Grace Lutheran Church.
This flag and its disgusting slogan take the tone of our political discourse to a nasty new low, setting a terrible example for our children. Aside from the matter of the flag’s offensive content, Ripon has a city ordinance that requires political signs to be taken down within three days of the election. The election is long over, folks. Held more than four months ago, it was declared the most secure election ever held in the U.S. It’s time to take your flag down.
