To the Editor:

I too hope you vote to require masks “Inside buildings and outside, where social distancing cannot be guaranteed,” such as on Watson Street in downtown Ripon.

Since mid-March I’ve stayed true to grocery shopping at Webster’s but as I wrote in a Letter to the Editor about five weeks ago, I now do most of my hardware shopping at Menards.

A third example is that I’ve left Steel Magnolia, tried Headliners but that too was not OK, Hair Today is definitely not OK so I have one more place to go in Ripon, before I have to leave Ripon for a haircut.

I believe the scientific and medical communities. I don’t believe this should be looked at as a political issue, nor one of infringing on individual freedoms.

I’m a retired Air Force officer and the freedom I want is to know elected officials are doing everything they can to keep us as safe as possible.
