TO THE EDITOR:

As we approach the election deadline, I urge anyone who hasn’t voted yet to search his/her conscience and vote for who you think will do a better job unifying the country. Vote for the leaders who will inspire us to take the high road and be the best that we can be, instead of encouraging our worst impulses. Too many Americans equate the concept of freedom with permission to be selfish. We need to care more about the common good, and be willing to make some minor sacrifices, such as wearing masks to help combat COVID-19. I pray that once this election is behind us, we can begin to put the country back together.
