TO THE EDITOR:

Over this past weekend, I have searched long and hard to find the correct words to express my heartfelt appreciation for the love and recognition from the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, businesses around our community, my Hometown Radio Family, friends and the Ripon Commonwealth Press.

Too often, one does what you think are small acts — yet others look at them as giant accomplishments.

I consider myself a small tool in God’s large tool box. Ripon has had many more influential pioneers before me and I am delighted to be considered one of them.

I thank all of you for this and promise not to let you down in the future.

There is an old saying, “Even a blind squirrel can find a nut.”

Never thought I’d get a day named after me! Thanks again!!!

One can never get enough good press [Tee-hee!]
