Mike Huckabee may well have just sunk his chances of being the Republican nominee for President in 2012 for speaking the truth as a prophet-pastor rather than speaking as a politician. The major liberal media are all over his case for his saying that Natalie Portman is setting a poor example by publicly announcing and thanking her boyfriend for giving her the most important role in her life. She was referring to the baby showing in her womb when accepting the Oscar for Best Actress last Sunday. (2/27) Marriage has become irrelevant to many in America today thanks to the example of our heroes and heroines in Hollywood.

ABC news on GMA said it was Dan Quayle all over again in his remarks in 1992 regarding Murphy Brown in having a baby out of wedlock. Vice President Quayle was likewise excoriated by the press for his remarks. Many feminists are also responding to Mike Huckabee the same way. Ironically, these politically correct people who allow everything as acceptable are quick to judge anyone who speaks of something in their camp as being unwise. They are forgetting that the April 1993 cover story of e the Atlantic magazine was titled, "Dan Quayle was Right".

The article was a very well researched piece showing that children grow up much healthier in every way when they are raised in a healthy home with both mother and father present. You may read the article online by simply searching "Dan Quayle Was Right". Isn't it interesting that those who reject the Holy Scriptures as God's revelation of His will for faith and practice would normally accept good sociological research. But how soon they forget or deliberately reject academic research when it would cramp their debauchery.

And Mike Huckabee tried to undo the political damage of his remarks by saying he did not mean what it sounded like he said! At his age he should know one cannot be both a prophet and a politician. To speak the truth forthrightly as he did will make him very unpopular with too many people who adore our beautiful people in Hollywood who set the pace for immoral living, serial marriages, and producing unhealthy children. Is there hope for America to return to any semblance of morality? Personally it appears to me we are beyond the point of no return. We are seeing God's judgment all around us and most are failing to recognize it. See my next blog, "What in the World is God Doing". May God have mercy on us all.
