The State of the Union Speech ("State of the Coup Speech", quoting Rush Limbaugh) just more of the same "uplifting" rhetoric we have heard since Obama came onto the political scene. MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC and NBC news will insure the public remains ignorant of the truth and will continue to promote the lies and empty promises, we have witnessed before.

Obama warns us that he has "a pen and a phone" to bypass Congress. Obama defines "opportunity" as a government -driven plan that insures equality of outcomes. He refuses to put policies in place that would enable Americans to create opportunity themselves. He favors extending unemployment benefits so no one has to worry about finding a job. Obama's "solutions" will do more damage to our country as he continues to push for a "fundamental transformation " of America. His ideas are just more extreme, liberal, socialistic, leftist propaganda. He complains when the House and Senate refuses to comply.

Quoting Obama," Give America a raise." Is the minimum wage the reason people are in poverty? Is "inequality and unfairness" the reason people are in poverty? Government policies, the welfare state is the cause of poverty. We have had a 'War on Poverty' since President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

"Since that day, we have effectively had redistribution of wealth to the tune of nearly $20 trillion, somewhere between $15 trillion and $20 trillion, and we still have the same percentages of people in poverty and below the poverty line that we had when we started. Expressed as percentages, we haven't made a dent. Now, why? How can this be? We have essentially, folks, been giving people $50,000 a year. It hasn't worked out that way because of the administrative costs, but we have effectively been spending that kind of money." http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2014/01/28/same_old_playbook_raise_minimum_wage

Social welfare spending has increased 3-1/2 times since 1960. It is unsustainable. "The U.S. economy has become alarmingly dependent on government stimulus,' said Madeline Schnapp, director of Macroeconomic Research at TrimTabs, in a note to clients." Thirty-five percent of the American public "has become alarmingly dependent on" its neighbors! "Even as the economy has recovered, social welfare benefits make up 35 percent of wages and salaries this year, up from 21 percent in 2000 and 10 percent in 1960, according to TrimTabs Investment Research using Bureau of Economic Analysis data." http://www.cnbc.com/id/41969508/

The welfare state, socialism, does not work wherever it has been tried. if we define 'the welfare state' as working then do we mean people who are removed from poverty, making them self-sufficient, removing them from dependency on government and off the welfare rolls. The welfare states succeed in keeping in power those who are in charge of them or those who run them. The direct result of liberalism, the Democrat Party, who needs people in poverty to keep them as voters. They use tax-payer funds to create as much dependence on government as possible.

Democrats play on the uninformed voters emotions to make them think the rich are the bad guys who just want to take from the poor. Giving people welfare is destructive because it assumes people who receive benefits are incapable of doing anything for themselves. Democrats define success by how many people they can add to the welfare rolls. Republicans define compassion by how many people they can help become independent and self-reliant.

Global warming is a hoax, yet Obama endorses it.

Obama's legacy will be his failed ACA (Affordable Care Act- Obamacare). His using the IRS and the Department of Justice to target his political enemies - conservatives like anti-Obama filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza. The Obama administration using the NSA to illegally snoop. Americans know that the Obama administration cannot be trusted to run government agencies.

Quoting from, The King is Naked by Jeffrey Lord in the American Spectator magazine. 1-28-14

"The news is out. The king is naked. The Emperor has no clothes.

• Jobs: Ninety-two million Americans are out of the workforce.

• Health Insurance: Five-plus million Americans who had health insurance have now lost that health insurance. As many as 25 million more could lose their insurance this year. All of it due to Obamacare.

• Poverty: Fifty million Americans now live below the poverty level, a number which has risen to the highest level in American history since the 1960's as calculated by the US Department of Labor.

• Food Stamps: A record forty seven million Americans are on Food Stamps.

• U.S. Debt: Now stands at a first-time record of over $17 trillion. The national debt has increased by $6 trillion under Obama, surpassing George W. Bush's eight years back in 2012 - after just three years and two months in office.

• Energy: And as the cold grips America, energy costs soar.

As President Obama prepares to deliver his State of the Union Address tonight, it is past time to let the President off the hook.

You read that right.

These dismal facts above (and more) are not Mr. Obama's fault.

The reason for the State of Obama's America isn't Obama.

The reason for the State of Obama's America is... liberalism. Or, if you prefer, socialism. Progressivism.

From the $20 trillion spent on LBJ's War on Poverty to the cause of what the Obama White House loves to refer to as "the Great Recession" of 2008 on through to the dreadfully poor state of today's American economy, as Mr. Obama takes to the podium tonight he does so as Exhibit A that the central idea of increasing the role of government in American life has proved itself to be an abject failure.

An utter disaster." http://spectator.org/articles/57555/king-naked

Let us not forget that while Obama in Washington D.C. added $6 Trillion to our debt, has the worst jobs report in 3 years, and increased taxes by Trillions; Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has a $1 Billion surplus, the lowest unemployment since 2008, and $1.5 Billion in tax relief and counting.
