Another chamber leader leaves Green Lake

Lisa Morris-Schilling in February 2012, shortly after she was hired as head of the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

For the fourth time in about six years, the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce needs a new executive director.

Lisa Morris-Schilling — who was hired just a year ago — has submitted her resignation.

The chamber announced the news via mass email Monday morning. It read:

Lisa Morris-Schilling has submitted her letter of resignation from her executive director position of the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors has accepted this resignation effective [Friday], Jan. 17, 2014.

We all wish Lisa the very best in her future and certainly appreciate all that she has done for the chamber, as well as the programs that she has started with which we will continue.

Kara Kinas will continue as event coordinator and Tracy Swayze (GLACC Board of Directors vice president) will be tending the day-to-day business until a new director has been hired. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this transitional period.
