When Erica and Marco Sesma announced they’d close El Fogon Mexican Bar & Grill and reopen at 1300 W. Fond du Lac St. as a combination Mexican-American restaurant, customers spoke out.
“A lot of people were concerned about losing the Mexican menu, and a lot of people requested, ‘Make sure you bring your menu!’” Erica said.
The Sesmas listened.
When Aromas Bar & Grill opens Saturday at the new location, the old menu from El Fogon will continue to be served — but now will feature a few new Mexican combinations and a handful of non-Mexican specials.
“We brought our old menu,” Erica said, adding that the menu will grow according to customer demand. “We’ll have specials and try them out before we create the [final] menu.”
When Aromas opens Saturday, it will offer a dozen Mexican dinner combinations not previously served.
“Now you can have choices such as one tamale, one taco, one enchilada or whatever,” Marco said. “I put a couple combinations on for lunch, too.”
A few other new additions to the menu also have been added after testing them at El Fogon as specials first.
