Public Health received an overwhelming response for the COVID-19 vaccination clinic for adults age 65 and older that was announced yesterday, Jan. 19.
Due to the large amount of interest among this population, Fond du Lac County Health Department has met capacity for the Jan. 27 clinic.
Individuals who do not receive a call back by the end of this week will be placed on a waitlist for future clinics. The Fond du Lac County Health Departments asks for patience in this process. At this time, it is no longer adding to the callback list for future vaccine clinics.
The details of future clinics are not available at this time due to unknown vaccine availability. Vaccine availability at the local level is determined on a weekly basis through a state and federal allocation process.
Primary care providers may be an avenue to get vaccinated. Individuals may visit their health-care provider's website for details on how it will share information about vaccine availability.
Fond du Lac County Health Department, in collaboration with other public health partners, continues planning for safe and efficient vaccine distributions efforts.
