The five communities of the Green Lake area are so special, collectively it’s the Holy Grail of regional tourism, an expert told a gathering of business and city leaders Tuesday.
Cindy Jaggi is so convinced of that, she used the term four times in one hour.
Jaggi is the principal executive officer of Economic Development Partners (EDP), which has been working with the Green Lake Country Visitors Bureau to study and re-brand the collective community that is “Green Lake Country” — that being, the cities of Green Lake, Ripon, Princeton, Berlin and Markesan.
She met Tuesday with about 25 representatives from those cities, including city leaders, business owners and chamber officials, to discuss the results of EDP’s tourism market research that’s been done in the area.
She also unveiled a new logo for Green Lake Country, and its tagline: “Relax, Retreat, Repeat.”
“I’m very excited about the research that we’re going to show you today because truly from my perspective, literally you have the ‘Holy Grail’ here in Green Lake Country — you have it all,” Jaggi told the audience. “You have an abundance of all different types of activities and assets, and you have visitors that are very loyal to you and keep coming back year after year.”
