Two Ripon service clubs — the Aktion Club and Ripon Noon Kiwanis — held a community-wide dance last week Saturday evening at the Ripon High School cafeteria.

This wasn’t just any dance, though. Called the “Fall Family Formal,” the event aimed to be for everyone to attend: including (maybe even especially) individuals with special needs.

In fact, those individuals were given special treatment all day. Members of the Aktion Club were treated to complementary hair styling and nails at Headliners in Ripon, which was just one of many businesses donating their services for the day.
