GL County

A drive through flu shot clinic will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 1:00 to 4 p.m. at the Green Lake County Fair Grounds. Green Lake County Public Health will provide the vaccines.

“With the increased spread of COVID 19, we are offering an easy and safe alternative to getting your flu shot this year,” Green Lake County Health Officer Kathy Munsey said of the clinic. “Please go to the county website at the link below and print off and complete the consent form and attach a copy of your Medicare or HMO card for billing purposes. This will help to expedite the process. We also recommend a short sleeve shirt for ease of access.”

The clinic will be at the fairgrounds on South Street in Green Lake and you should enter on the east entrance where the grandstand is located.

“We had our first drive through clinic last week and it went very smoothly,” Munsey said. “We are actually trying to gear up and prepare for the mass clinic process once the COVID 19 vaccine becomes available. This is a good test so we can work out any glitches before that happens.”

Flu Vaccine is recommended for all persons over the age of 6 months. Green Lake County provides the quadrivalent vaccine which protects against 4 different flu strains.

The county has free flu shots for children who are uninsured or have BadgerCare or Medical Assistance and are under the age of 19 through the Vaccine for Children Program, while supplies last. Children who are covered by parent’s private insurance should be immunized at their doctor’s office.

For adults, we can bill Medicare Part B, or your Medicare HMO if you bring a copy of  your card at the time of your appointment. If you do not have your card, you will have to pay at the time of service.

Flu shots are $40.00. Please continue to check our website for updates on additional flu clinics at: http://www.co.green-lake.wi.us.
