In response to citizen requests, the League of Women Voters of the Ripon Area will hold a voter forum Thursday, Feb. 4 for candidates in the primary election for Green Lake School Board.

The forum will take place at 7 p.m. at the school. The public may attend.

The primary election Tuesday, Feb. 16 will narrow the field from five to four candidates heading into the general election in April.

Those running for office include incumbent Gordy Farrell (seeking a second term), along with newcomers Richard Mrazik, Sydney Rouse, Dr. Jim Williams and Celest King. King previously served on the board from 2006 to 2009.

This year marks the second-straight primary election for the Green Lake School Board. Prior to last year, a primary had not been necessary in at least 15 years, according to district records.
