Tuba Dan honored at Polka on the Ice

Knuth Brewing Co., the Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce, Hometown Broadcasting and Ripon Main Street honor Tuba Dan during the Polka on the Ice event.

The Ripon community jammed out Saturday afternoon to polka music from the band Copper Box at the Village Green for the "Polka on the Ice" event hosted by Knuth Brewing Co.

After a few hours of music, the Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce and Hometown Broadcasting honored Dan Jerabek Sr. — better known as Tuba Dan — for 50 years of broadcasting polka music.

Tuba Dan gave a brief speech thanking those in attendance and reflecting on his career in broadcast.
