'Renewal' celebrates five years with July celebration

Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 26 for the Downtown Green Lake Renewal Project’s “Pitch Perfect” evening to celebrate the group’s five-year anniversary.

It was in 2009 when three Green Lake neighborhood friends took a leap of faith and created the Downtown Green Lake Renewal Project, a non-profit with a mission to work toward revitalizing downtown Green Lake.

With a passion for their town and determination, Mary-Jo Johnson, Mary Rowley and Jo Ellen Madden and their new board of four began their efforts in making positive changes for Green Lake.

“These past five years have been exciting for our organization and our community,” said Johnson, president of the group. “By working with the city, chamber, civic organizations, other non-profits, businesses and residents, Green Lake Renewal has been able to make positive changes for downtown.

We especially thank all who have been members of our board as well as those who have supported us with contributions and volunteer time and hope to see them all at the party.”

The “Pitch Perfect” evening celebration will occur at the Green Lake Conference Center ... Get full details in the June 26 issue of the Ripon Commonwealth Press.
