The Horicon Bank Ripon Summer Concert Series was meant to kick off tonight at the Village Green at 6:30 p.m. featuring special performances by the Ripon Middle School (RMS) and Ripon High School (RHS) jazz bands, but it has been moved.

“The RMS and RHS Jazz Concert is moving to the Ripon High School auditorium,” said Craig Tebon, Ripon Main Street, Inc. executive director. “Use the S1 entrance on the south side of the building which is adjacent to the main office.”

RMS jazz, a 10-piece group, composed of seventh- and eighth-grade band students, will kick-off Thursday’s concert at 6:30 p.m.

The students will perform a variety of swing and jazz/rock standards.

The RHS jazz ensemble will complete the evening, performing an assortment of music ranging from swing, funk and Latin, to a few rock tunes.

Throughout the evening, various band members will be featured as soloists.
