#RiponRoar Days — a campaign for the Ripon Area School District (RASD) put on by the Ripon Education Foundation (REF) — runs today to Friday during American Education Week.

The campaign once again will give parents, alumni, friends and community members opportunities to make a gift and share what they cherish about Ripon schools.

Funds raised through #RiponRoar supports teaching and learning grants, along with tutoring scholarships and other grants that expand student learning in the RASD. The goal of #RiponRoar Days is to engage at least 343 individual donors — representing one gift for each staff member in the Ripon Area School District, plus each student in the class of 2022.

The foundation has put #RiponRoar 2020 funds to work, helping fund nearly a dozen grants for Ripon educators to enhance reading materials, science labs, music education, summer school and more. Additionally, grants have been made to assist with creating and improving outdoor learning spaces at each of the district’s locations, a project that is ongoing. Some of these grants will be showcased in REF’s Facebook page during this year’s #RiponRoar Days.

#RiponRoar “Game Changers,” a group of lead donors and community businesses, have stepped up to set the pace for this year’s campaign. Their gifts will be used to inspire donors to give by serving as matching gift challenges throughout the week to motivate parents, alumni, friends, and community members to support #RiponRoar Days. With the support of Game Changers, #RiponRoar Days has the potential to motivate the Ripon community in a profound and innovative way.

In addition to opportunities to participate that will be shared via the foundation’s social media efforts, donors may participate by visiting www.riponeducationfoundation.org/RiponRoar.

Donations made online will be securely processed through REF’s partnership with GiveCampus, in association with REF’s fund-management partners at the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

Contributions may be tax deductible. Individuals should check with their tax preparer. Contributions also may be mailed to the foundation at PO Box 395, Ripon, WI 54971.

For more information about #RiponRoar Days, visit the foundation website at www.riponeducationfoundation.org or email board member Cindy Cody at codyc@riponeducationfoundation.org or call her at 920-428-4886.

Established in 1997, the Ripon Education Foundation, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation managed by a volunteer board of directors made up of community members. Contributions to the REF are used to support teaching and learning in RASD or scholarships for Ripon students.

REF works in partnership with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.
