Another building by Boca Grande Capital is set to be sold via sheriff’s sale.
This time, 308 Watson St. is scheduled for sale on Tuesday, March 24 at 9 a.m. at the Fond du Lac County Courthouse.
The structure in question, former first-floor home to Memory Photography, is located immediately north of where the downtown Ripon fire occurred 15 months ago. It’s the building that had to have its south wall stabilized before the buildings destroyed by the fire could be razed in June.
The sheriff’s sale is the final step in an ongoing foreclosure process, initiated by a lien holder on the property: National Exchange Bank & Trust of Fond du Lac.
That process began in June 2014, and by late September, Fond du Lac County Circuit Court had rendered a default judgement against Boca.
Defendants in the case included a slew of individuals and related entities: Boca Grande and its principals, Granite Broadband and its principals (which overlap with Boca’s), and lien holders on the property.
Assuming the sale goes forward as expected, it will be the second such Boca building to be auctioned off.
