Nearly 300 people from around the Ripon area enjoyed a free Thanksgiving meal last week Thursday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The meal, provided as a mission of the church, fed 279 people, including servings delivered to residents’ doorsteps.

The meal included everything from freshly roasted turkeys to all the trimmings, plus freshly baked pies.

Volunteers prepared the meal, starting their baking the day before the event to ensure the meal was ready.
