Frances R. Hooker, age 88, Venice, Fla., formerly of Ripon, died Monday, April 11, 2011.

She was a member of the League of Women Voters, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Power Squadron. Her humor will be sorely missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Alex of Venice, Fla.; her daughters, Elizabeth of Hawaii and Jean (John) of Ripon; as well as her grandsons, Jesse of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Alex of San Francisco, Calif.

Burial will take place at the Brookside Cemetery in Watertown, N.Y.
